Services

EH Equestrian Coaching provides mobile equestrian services including rider coaching, groundwork coaching, horse schooling and exercise, yard and horse care, holiday horse care, grooming, clipping, tack and equipment care and competition coaching and support.

The description, duration and price of each service will be shown on the website or agreed with you before a bespoke booking is confirmed.

EH Equestrian Coaching does not provide horse transportation and does not compete clients’ horses.

Bookings and formation of the contract

For services that are available for instant online booking, a contract is formed when you receive confirmation that the booking has been accepted.

For services marked Request to Book, Enquiry or otherwise requiring approval, submitting a request does not guarantee a booking. A contract is formed only once EH Equestrian Coaching has accepted the request and confirmed the booking with you.

Please check all booking details carefully and contact us as soon as possible if anything is incorrect.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling.

The price shown for a fixed-price service is the price payable unless you select additional services or add-ons.

For services where the final price depends on individual requirements, the price or the method used to calculate it will be explained before the booking is confirmed.

Payment may be required in full at the time of booking. Where payment is not taken online, the payment arrangements will be agreed before the service takes place.

Optional extras will only be charged where they have been selected or agreed by you.

Travel and additional expenses

EH Equestrian Coaching is a mobile service and travels to clients’ yards and other agreed locations.

Travel within 5 miles of Calow, Chesterfield is included in the service price. For locations more than 5 miles away, additional mileage is charged at 55p per mile for the return journey (there and back), excluding the first 5 miles in each direction.

For example, if a location is 8 miles from Calow, the first 5 miles each way are included. The remaining 3 miles each way gives 6 chargeable miles × £0.55 = £3.30 travel charge.

Any applicable travel charge will be made clear before the booking is confirmed.

Where relevant, additional costs such as competition venue admission, parking or other necessary third-party charges will also be explained and agreed with the client before they are incurred.

Client responsibilities

You must provide accurate and complete information when making a booking.

This includes information that may reasonably affect the safety or suitability of the service, including the rider’s experience, relevant horse details, behavioural concerns, yard requirements and any other information requested in the booking form.

You are responsible for obtaining permission for EH Equestrian Coaching to attend and provide services at the relevant yard, arena, venue or other property.

You must ensure that reasonable access to the agreed location is available at the booked time.

Safety and riding equipment

Equestrian activities involve inherent risks and safety must always take priority.

When riding as part of an EH Equestrian Coaching service, riders must wear suitable footwear and approved protective headgear.

Clients must follow reasonable safety instructions given by EH Equestrian Coaching.

EH Equestrian Coaching may adapt, stop or refuse to begin a session where continuing would present an unreasonable risk to the rider, horse or another person.

Horse welfare

Horse welfare is central to all EH Equestrian Coaching services.

EH Equestrian Coaching may decline, alter or stop an activity where there are reasonable concerns about the horse’s health, fitness, welfare, behaviour, tack, equipment, ground conditions or surrounding environment.

Clients must disclose any known information that could materially affect the safe handling, riding or care of the horse.

Where a service cannot safely proceed because of an unforeseen horse-welfare or safety concern, EH Equestrian Coaching will discuss the available options with the client.

Horse and yard care

For horse-care, yard-care and holiday-care services, the client is responsible for providing clear and accurate care instructions together with suitable access, feed, forage, bedding, equipment and other supplies required for the service.

Where requested, clients must provide appropriate emergency contact and veterinary-practice details.

If an urgent situation arises affecting a horse’s welfare and the client or emergency contact cannot be reached, EH Equestrian Coaching may take reasonable steps to obtain appropriate veterinary or other professional assistance where necessary to protect the horse.

Any veterinary or other third-party costs remain the responsibility of the horse owner or client unless the cost arose because of a breach by EH Equestrian Coaching.

EH Equestrian Coaching does not provide medication administration as a standard advertised service. Medication will only be administered where this has been expressly agreed in writing in advance and where EH Equestrian Coaching has the appropriate training, authorisation and insurance cover required for the circumstances.

Competition services

Competition coaching and support may include preparation, warm-up support, course walking, dressage-test support, grooming and general competition assistance as agreed.

EH Equestrian Coaching does not ride or compete clients’ horses in competition.

Additional expenses such as travel, parking and venue admission may apply and will be agreed in advance where applicable.

Cancellations, refunds and rescheduling

All cancellations and rescheduling requests are subject to the separate Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

Under that policy:

  • cancellations made 48 hours or more before the booking are eligible for a full refund;

  • cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours before the booking are eligible for a 50% refund;

  • cancellations made less than 24 hours before the booking are non-refundable;

  • no-shows are non-refundable; and

  • where EH Equestrian Coaching cancels the service, you will be offered a rescheduled appointment or a full refund.

Any statutory cancellation rights that apply under consumer law take priority over the contractual cancellation policy.

Statutory cancellation rights

Depending on the nature of the service and how it was booked, UK consumer law may give you a statutory right to cancel a distance or off-premises contract.

Some services relating to leisure activities supplied for a specific date or period are excluded from the normal statutory cancellation right. Other EH Equestrian Coaching services may still fall within the standard consumer cancellation regime.

Where a statutory cancellation right applies and you ask EH Equestrian Coaching to begin providing the service during that cancellation period, you may be asked to expressly request early performance. If you later cancel after the service has begun, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service already supplied.

Nothing in these Terms removes any statutory cancellation right that applies to your particular booking.

Late arrival and access

If a client arrives late, the session may still need to finish at the original booked end time so that later appointments are not affected.

If EH Equestrian Coaching cannot provide a service because the client has not supplied agreed access to the horse, yard or property, this may be treated as a late cancellation or no-show under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

If EH Equestrian Coaching is delayed, reasonable efforts will be made to provide the full booked service or agree another appropriate arrangement with you.

Weather and unsafe conditions

Outdoor equestrian services can be affected by severe weather, ground conditions, extreme heat, ice, storms or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.

EH Equestrian Coaching may alter, postpone or cancel a service where continuing would be unsafe or contrary to horse welfare.

Where EH Equestrian Coaching cancels a service, you will be offered a reschedule or refund in accordance with the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Standard of service and consumer rights

EH Equestrian Coaching will provide services with reasonable care and skill, as required by UK consumer law. Services must also be provided within the agreed time or, where no time has been agreed, within a reasonable time.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts any legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Liability

EH Equestrian Coaching is responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill.

EH Equestrian Coaching is not responsible for losses that were not caused by our breach or that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. UK consumer law does not permit a trader to contract out of liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or the obligation to provide a service with reasonable care and skill.

Personal belongings and equipment

Clients are responsible for their own personal belongings, tack and equipment except where loss or damage is caused by a breach of duty by EH Equestrian Coaching.

Any equipment supplied by the client should be safe, suitable and in appropriate condition for its intended use.

Under-18s

Where a rider or service user is under 18, EH Equestrian Coaching may require appropriate parent or guardian details, consent or supervision depending on the service being provided.

Safeguarding considerations will always take priority.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with a service, please contact EH Equestrian Coaching as soon as possible so that the issue can be considered and, where appropriate, resolved.

Email: hello@ehequestriancoaching.co.uk

Your statutory rights are not affected by making a complaint.

Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with the EH Equestrian Coaching Privacy Policy, available on this website.

Website content and intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, branding, written content, photographs, graphics and other original material on the EH Equestrian Coaching website belong to EH Equestrian Coaching or are used with permission.

Website content may not be copied or commercially reproduced without permission.

Changes to these Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time where reasonably necessary, including to reflect changes to services, prices, business practices or legal requirements.

The version that applies to a booking will normally be the version in force when the booking contract was formed.

Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Nothing in this section removes any mandatory consumer rights or jurisdictional protections that apply to you.
